It is our most affordable cabin and one of our most popular. Easy to position on most properties, simple to connect to power, and ready to use from the day it arrives.

Minimum rental period is 3 months. The longer you rent, the better the rate.
What Is It Good For?
The 3.6m cabin works well in a lot of situations. Some of the most common uses we see across Northland:
Teenager’s retreat gives them their own space without giving up the whole house. A private room just off the main property keeps everyone a little saner.
Guest accommodation for visitors who stay regularly deserve somewhere comfortable that is not the couch. A sleepout gives guests their own space without a permanent renovation.
Home office spaces. Working from home is easier when work has its own address. A separate cabin keeps the day contained and the house quieter.

A Few Things to Know
Our 3.6m cabin is a dry cabin. It does not include bathroom or kitchen facilities. If you need a self-contained option with a shower, basin, and hot water, take a look at our 6.0m x 2.4m cabin or 7.2m x 2.7m cabin.
No building consent is required in most cases, as the cabin is classified similarly to a caravan. Resource consent may be required depending on your boundary setbacks, so we recommend checking with your local council if you are unsure.
Appliances are not included. You will need to supply your own.
Two weeks notice is required at the end of your rental period.
Site Requirements
Before delivery, it helps to check the following:
- The site should be flat or near level
- At least 3.5 metres of clear space is needed around the cabin
- At least 0.5 metres of clearance above, with no overhanging trees or roof eaves
- The cabin needs to be at least 1.5 metres from the boundary (3 metres in some areas, so check with your council)
- Clear vehicle access is required, as we cannot use a neighbouring property for access
