Royce has been in the portable cabin industry since 2012, has completed hundreds of rentals across Northland, and personally delivers and sets up every cabin himself. Meet Royce
Royce Powell grew up around boats. As a qualified boat builder, he has always been drawn to practical, hands-on work, and that has shaped the way he runs Top End Cabin Rentals from the ground up.
Since 2012 he has worked with hundreds of Northland families, farmers, and businesses, helping them solve one of the most common problems around: needing more space without the time, cost, or disruption of building. Over that time he has delivered cabins to all kinds of properties across the region, from suburban sections in Whangarei to rural blocks in the far north, and he knows the roads, the access challenges, and the practical realities that come with each one.
What Royce enjoys most about the work is getting out across Northland and being on the tools. He is not an office operator. Every cabin in the fleet is checked and maintained by him personally, every delivery is done by him, and every set-up is his responsibility from start to finish. The customers he enjoys working with most are straightforward people who know what they need: someone looking for an extra bedroom, a home office, or a self-contained space for family. He understands what they are dealing with and gives them a straight answer.

How We Operate
When you get in touch with Top End Cabin Rentals, you deal with Royce directly from the first call through to the day the cabin is collected. There is no call centre, no franchise office, and no one passing your details along to someone else. Royce answers the phone, talks through your situation, confirms what is available, and gives you honest advice on which cabin suits your property and your needs.
Delivery, positioning, and set-up are all handled by Royce himself. Once the cabin is connected to power and water, it is ready to use. No contractors, no strangers on your property, and no following up to find out what is happening.
That direct, owner-operated approach is not something we market as a point of difference for the sake of it. It is simply how the business works, and it is what our customers consistently tell us they value most.

Top End Cabin Rentals is based in Whangarei and services the whole of Northland, subject to access. Royce knows the region well. He has delivered to properties across Whangarei, Kaipara, and the Far North, and understands the kinds of sites and access challenges that come up regularly in each area.

Quality You Can See
Every cabin in the fleet is fully insulated to residential standards, with quality carpet, vinyl flooring, and curtains fitted. All cabins carry a current electrical warrant of fitness and are checked and maintained between every rental. When a cabin arrives at your property, it has been gone over beforehand and is ready to use from day one.
These are not bare boxes. They are comfortable, liveable spaces built and maintained to a standard Royce is happy to put his name to.
