The 7.2m cabin is our largest, and it shows. At 7.2 metres long and 2.7 metres wide, it has the floor space to feel like a proper home rather than a temporary fix. There is room for a real kitchen, a full bathroom, and comfortable living space that does not feel like you are making do.

It connects to your existing power and water supply and, once it is set up, it stands completely independent from the main house. No trips back to the house for the bathroom or to cook a meal. For longer stays, bigger families, or anyone who is not prepared to compromise on comfort, the 7.2m cabin is the right choice.

The 7.2m cabin comes fully fitted out and ready to live in:

What Is It Good For?

The extra width and length of the 7.2m cabin open up uses that the smaller cabins simply cannot match. Some of the most common situations we see across Northland:

Temporary accommodation during a build or renovation Living on your own land while the house goes up keeps you close to the project and cuts out rent elsewhere. The 7.2m cabin gives you a full kitchen and bathroom, so you are not roughing it while the build drags on.

Longer-term living arrangements Sometimes a temporary solution turns into a longer one. The 7.2m cabin is comfortable enough that a year in it does not feel like a hardship. It is a liveable, well-insulated space with proper facilities throughout

Worker accommodation on rural properties Farm workers or contractors staying on site benefit from having their own self-contained space with a proper kitchen. It keeps things professional and makes extended placements more workable for everyone.

Accommodation for extended family Giving family members their own cabin with a full kitchen and bathroom is a different proposition to a dry sleepout. Longer stays become much easier when everyone has genuine independence and their own front door.

A Few Things to Know

Two 9kg gas bottles are required for the califont. Royce can supply these on request, or you can source your own. Kitchen appliances are not included, so you will need to supply your own. Toilet chemicals and the water and toilet connection are listed as extras, so confirm these with Royce at the time of enquiry.

No building consent is required in most cases, as the cabin is classified similarly to a caravan. Resource consent may be required depending on your boundary setbacks, so we recommend checking with your local council if you are unsure.

Water pressure needs to be a minimum of 30kpa with a flow rate of at least 5 litres per minute. Tank water is fine as long as a pressure pump is in use. Gravity feed from a header tank is not sufficient, so it is worth checking this before delivery day.

Two weeks notice is required at the end of your rental period.
